Lead Robotics Systems Engineer

Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Systems Engineer with a strong background in managing complex technical projects. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements generation, engineering analysis, and project management. This role is crucial in coordinating the technical efforts necessary for the development of advanced robotic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize systems engineering methodologies, including model-based systems engineering (MBSE), to oversee requirements, milestones, and associated programmatic needs.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in the formulation of requirements, architectural designs, procurement strategies, and testing protocols for comprehensive robotic systems.
- Generate documentation and organize technical data to serve as deliverables in formal reports and presentations.
- Collaborate closely with a focused team to design, prototype, and evaluate new product functionalities.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional technical initiatives through effective planning and requirement development.
- Expertise in guiding engineering teams through structured safety analysis processes, such as HARA, FMEA, and Fault Tree Analysis.
- Strong communication abilities to engage effectively with both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the capability to produce technical documentation and present complex topics.
- Experience working within small, interdisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment with evolving roles and responsibilities.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Automotive, Mechanical, or Electrical disciplines preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience leading systems engineering efforts in robotics, autonomous vehicles, industrial automation, or related fields.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
- Capability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
- Vision to read printed materials and computer screens.
- Effective hearing and speech for communication purposes.
