We continuously strive to enhance our automation processes and expedite product and package delivery through the integration of custom hardware, robotics, autonomy, supply chain optimization, machine learning, manipulation, image processing, and real-time data processing utilizing distributed systems.

The Worldwide Technology Deployment organization is in search of a skilled and solution-focused NPI Deployment Engineer to play a vital role in delivering groundbreaking innovations to our operations.

As a member of our team, your mission will be to ensure that emerging robotics technologies are thoroughly vetted and tested in real-world environments during Alpha and Beta phases, identifying and addressing potential issues before large-scale deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in strategic Deployment Readiness initiatives that require significant technical expertise;
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the deployment, integration, optimization, and implementation of new Robotics solutions during pre-General Availability phases;
  • Provide constructive feedback on Work Instructions and execution plans to ensure consistent results;
  • Maintain and monitor action plans;
  • Oversee large third-party installation teams during Alpha and Beta deployment phases;
  • Troubleshoot field issues and ensure that root causes are effectively addressed;
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards;
  • Foster alignment of New Product Introduction strategies with internal stakeholders and external partners;
  • Lead field trials and contribute to the development of deployment guidelines and testing procedures to certify and implement Amazon Robotics solutions;
  • This role may require travel up to 75% of the time.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure;
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust;
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments;
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline build processes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience with distributed systems at scale.
