As a Systems Engineer, you will be integral to the development of sophisticated general-purpose robots that are designed to function in human environments and utilize human tools. These robots are engineered to work alongside people, navigate diverse spaces, and interact with their surroundings.

We are looking for a dedicated Systems Engineer with a proven track record in managing complex technical projects. Our Systems Engineers draw upon a wide range of expertise, including requirements generation, engineering analysis, interface definitions, procurement, and project management, to orchestrate comprehensive technical efforts for robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement systems engineering methodologies, including model-based systems engineering (MBSE), to oversee requirements, milestones, and related programmatic and system necessities.
  • Direct cross-functional teams to establish requirements, architectural designs, procurement strategies, fabrication timelines, and testing protocols for comprehensive robotic systems.
  • Produce documentation and organize technical data to serve as deliverables in white papers and presentations.
  • Collaborate closely with a small team to design, prototype, and evaluate new product features.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience leading interdisciplinary technical initiatives through planning, requirement development, and collaborative efforts.
  • Expertise in guiding engineering teams through structured safety assessments, including HARA, FMEA, and Fault Tree Analysis.
  • Strong communication abilities to effectively engage with both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capability to produce technical documentation and deliver presentations on complex topics.
  • Experience working in small, dynamic teams in fast-paced environments with evolving roles and responsibilities.
  • A strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail.

Experience and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Aerospace, Automotive, Mechanical, or Electrical fields preferred.
  • Over 5 years of experience leading cross-functional systems engineering projects in robotics, autonomous vehicles, industrial automation, or similar sectors.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Capability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Vision to read printed materials and computer screens.
  • Ability to communicate effectively through hearing and speech.
