The selected candidate will be instrumental throughout the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept through to deployment and ongoing support of mobile robotic systems. This position requires a proactive leader who will manage application specifications, system development, and implementation. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and engineering disciplines will be essential to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engineer automated material handling systems to enhance and optimize material flows using robotic vehicles.
  • Create analytical models to define design and performance benchmarks.
  • Oversee the engineering design and system assembly of mobile robot initiatives.
  • Facilitate the deployment of mobile robots in both testing and operational settings.
  • Establish testing protocols to verify that functional, performance, and safety standards are achieved.
  • Analyze and refine automated processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Identify and implement solutions for equipment malfunctions and persistent failures.
  • Communicate effectively with management and operational teams to present findings and address inquiries.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Over 2 years of experience in automation for material handling, including AS/RS, electric monorail systems, conveyance, and mobile robotics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.
  • A genuine interest in mechanical automation, robotics, and the design of electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Comprehension of how to integrate equipment design into existing or new systems.
  • Ability to apply innovative and logical thinking to a diverse range of technical challenges.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
  • A robust engineering foundation with practical design and development experience.
  • Understanding of the requirements and algorithms for autonomous systems.
