Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and execution of new product initiatives, utilizing program management methodologies to identify engineering milestones and interdependencies.
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation to market introduction, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and organizational objectives.
  • Act as the main technical contact for engineering, facilitating communication to convert business requirements into actionable tasks.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams to incorporate client insights and market analysis into product development.
  • Manage open issues within the engineering intake process, prioritize tasks, conduct root cause analysis, and provide updates through dashboards.
  • Direct the release of Engineering Bill of Materials (EBOM) for hardware and software, and evaluate engineering change requests in partnership with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and service teams.
  • Coordinate the transition of Engineering Change Requests (ECR) to Engineering Change Orders (ECO) through Change Control Boards (CCB).
  • Maintain a rollout schedule for upcoming product releases, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap.
  • Implement standard operating procedures documentation and ensure compliance in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) projects aimed at optimizing cost, weight, and performance metrics of products.
  • Create and manage project timelines, participate in Program Increment (PI) and sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and retrospectives to develop products that fulfill specified requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing engineering projects and programs.
  • Familiarity with automotive product development processes.
  • Proficient understanding of CAD and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework.
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheets, and Google Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP Certification.
  • Understanding of standard operating procedures.
