Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Department Manager to join our team at Hobby Lobby. As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store's departments, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Department Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of department associates, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels, ordering merchandise as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Visual Merchandising: Ensure that departments are visually appealing and well-organized, creating an engaging shopping experience for our customers.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate department associates, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the tools and resources needed to succeed.
Requirements:
  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience in a leadership role, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with associates, customers, and management.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions, ensuring that issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, with a flexible and positive attitude.
