Job Title: Front Office Manager

At Hampton Inn Chicago/Naperville, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Front Office Manager to join our team. As a key member of our hotel operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the front office, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a positive and professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the front office team to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
  • Provide outstanding customer care and maintain a friendly demeanor to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Respond professionally to guest inquiries and concerns, resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to maximize room occupancy and revenue.
  • Train, direct, and resolve issues for front desk team members.
  • Ensure accurate processing of hotel charges and invoices.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and adherence to health regulations.
  • Correspond with group and travel agents for special requests.
  • Assist with sales and marketing efforts as directed.
  • Maintain strong relationships with other departments.
  • Operate EPBX equipment and manage cash transactions.
  • Update and action the front office and hotel logbooks.
  • Follow guest check-in and security procedures.
  • Take responsibility in the absence of the General Manager.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience/training.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with planning and organizational abilities.
  • Computer and accounting knowledge.
  • Alcohol awareness certification and other required certifications.
