Job Overview

Position Summary: The Senior Systems Architect will play a pivotal role in guiding the technical aspects of our software solutions, focusing on deployment efficiency, system reliability, and application security. This role is essential within the development team, offering strategic direction and oversight to engineering teams engaged in cyber range projects.

Location: This position is based in Fort Meade, MD and requires full-time on-site presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and refine virtual system architectures within intricate virtual environments.
  • Collaborate with JCTE teams to ensure that new capabilities and enhancements align with deployment goals and adhere to established architectural standards.
  • Provide leadership in defining performance metrics and benchmarks.
  • Support the implementation of sophisticated software solutions.
  • Evaluate the integration of emerging technologies into product designs.
  • Analyze the complexity and resource requirements for new product features and capabilities.
  • Assist engineering teams in troubleshooting complex virtual system issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication skills and extensive industry experience in leading system design and development initiatives.
  • Experience in developing and/or enhancing architectural models that facilitate detailed design and component development.
  • Ability to conduct architecture tradeoff analyses based on modeling outcomes.
  • Proficient in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting performance data to support architectural frameworks.
  • Skilled in computing and demonstrating results from architecture modeling.
  • Experience in monitoring system-wide performance, comparing actual results with architectural models, identifying discrepancies, and leading optimization efforts as necessary.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field such as electrical engineering, computer science, information technology, systems engineering, or software engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in systems engineering or software development.
  • Familiarity with hosted application deployment, system load testing, and load balancing technologies.

Additional Requirements: This position necessitates U.S. Citizenship status and the ability to obtain a SECRET to TOP SECRET security clearance as per government contract stipulations.
