Key Responsibilities:

  • Document existing infrastructure configuration, requirements, and overall architecture.
  • Work with stakeholders to produce high-level and detailed designs for existing infrastructure.
  • Identify areas for improvement and develop plans to migrate current infrastructure into a singular architecture.
  • Design solutions, integrate, configure, test, and deploy server-based applications on various virtualization platforms and cloud environments.
  • Optimize end-to-end system performance and migration workflows.
  • Conduct data captures to obtain computing performance and system configuration information.
  • Define migration plans that accelerate execution and minimize impact to the user community.
  • Establish migration plans for complex n-tier applications and services.
  • Gather data to forecast long-term capacity and performance requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) with 8-12 years' experience or Master's degree in STEM with 6-10 years of experience.
  • Active DoD IAT Level II (Security+) certification or equivalent prior to start.
  • Experience documenting logical or physical designs using drawing tools.
  • Experience with requirements management and analysis.
  • Experienced in conducting technical troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Experience creating or executing a migration plan to move services, applications, or data between environments or to a commercial cloud provider.
  • Experience conducting site surveys or analyzing data obtained from site surveys.
  • Must have broad exposure to common IT infrastructure with at least one area of depth in networking, storage, Identity and Access Management, operating systems, server virtualization, enterprise productivity applications, voice, desktops, or mobile devices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with networking technologies.
  • Experience with IT discovery tools.
  • Completion of one or more compute certification.
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies.
  • Experience in managing enterprise storage solutions.
  • Experience in managing enterprise backup solutions.
  • Experienced in deploying and maintaining Windows Server and/or Red Hat systems.
  • Experienced with Active Directory and Group Policy management and design.
  • Experienced with patching technologies.

Clearance Requirement:

Must possess an active Secret security clearance or be eligible for submission and able to maintain an active Secret security clearance once granted.
