Position Overview

Competitive Range Solutions, LLC is seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Cisco PBX Systems Architect to join our team. We specialize in collaborating with government entities to design and implement intricate, IT-driven solutions that are vital to mission success. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in managing and directing voice communication systems, particularly within a Department of Defense (DoD) context. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of VoIP, VoSIP, and TDM technologies, along with a commitment to enhancing and streamlining voice services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and enhancement of voice communication services to guarantee secure and uninterrupted telecommunications.
  • Administer and sustain government-provided Cisco PBX systems, VoIP, VoSIP, ACD, and related telecommunications management systems on a continuous basis.
  • Design and implement a thorough preventive maintenance strategy to ensure all voice infrastructure is updated with the latest patches, vendor enhancements, and compliance requirements.
  • Regularly assess the performance of voice systems and infrastructure, taking necessary corrective measures to maintain optimal functionality.
  • Swiftly address customer incident reports, restoring systems and services to full operational status with minimal disruption.
  • Maintain and revise all pertinent documentation, ensuring compatibility with long-distance, local exchange networks, and central office connections via SIP or TDM.
  • Collaborate closely with Long-Distance and Local Exchange Carriers, as well as government stakeholders, on current and future numbering strategies and technology provisions.
  • Provide technical and project management assistance for voice-related initiatives, including PBX evaluations, VoIP technical designs, and troubleshooting of wireless products.
Qualifications:
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the operation and maintenance of Cisco PBX systems.
  • Extensive knowledge of Cisco PBX, VoIP, VoSIP, and TDM technologies.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications, networking, and IT infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with government telecommunications systems and standards.
  • Experience in preventive maintenance and system troubleshooting.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) or equivalent.
  • Experience with military or government communication systems.
  • Understanding of the DoD environment and its requirements.
