Key Responsibilities

The Vice President of Strategic Communications will operate under the guidance of the Senior Vice President of Communications & Brand, focusing on the development and implementation of strategic communication initiatives that encompass both internal and external messaging. This role will be instrumental in crafting comprehensive communication strategies aimed at enhancing our brand visibility among key audiences.

  • Lead the strategic planning, execution, and management of integrated communication strategies that engage a diverse range of stakeholders, including passengers, employees, media, board members, community partners, and influencers.
  • Develop thought leadership opportunities for the Executive Leadership Team and oversee the creation of all communication materials across various platforms.
  • Manage the internal communication framework to ensure timely and effective dissemination of organizational priorities and initiatives, fostering employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver strategic communication solutions that yield measurable results.
  • Direct the ACAA Speakers Bureau, ensuring effective assessment and preparation of speakers for events that promote ACAA's mission and objectives.
  • Oversee Blue Sky News, a premier storytelling platform, by managing content development for diverse audiences and enhancing its reach and impact.
  • Align communication planning with organizational goals to maximize effectiveness and drive key priorities.
  • Establish scalable processes for maintaining brand consistency across all customer interactions.
  • Implement feedback mechanisms and analytics to evaluate the success of internal communication efforts.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Vice President of Strategic Communications position, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of ten years of relevant experience in communications, with at least five years in a leadership capacity.
  • Familiarity with recognized change management communication methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • A valid driver’s license, with maintenance throughout employment.
