The Role of Vice President of Operations at the Center for Organ Recovery & Education (CORE)
The Vice President of Operations at CORE is a pivotal position within the organization, directly reporting to the President/CEO.
This role involves managing the daily operational activities of the team and ensuring adherence to CORE's policies established by the Board of Directors and the President/CEO.
Primary Responsibilities:- Overseeing essential roles within the organization, including the Director of Professional Services, Director of Clinical Operations, Funeral Director & Coroner Liaison, among others.
- Creating new initiatives and fostering partnerships with other Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs) and transplant facilities.
- Guaranteeing compliance with national regulations, accreditation standards, and legal requirements.
- Maintaining round-the-clock accountability for staff adherence and acting as the administrator on call.
- Making autonomous decisions to effectively advance CORE's objectives.
- Capability to oversee clinical operations in the absence of the President/CEO.
- A Bachelor's Degree is required, with a Master's in a health-related discipline preferred.
- Previous executive-level experience is essential, with experience in an OPO being advantageous.
- Willingness to travel monthly within the CORE designated service area.
- Due to the critical nature of supervising clinical operations, this role is categorized within the difficult to very difficult spectrum, where mistakes could lead to significant repercussions.
- Accountable for overseeing key positions within the organization and may delegate supervisory responsibilities as necessary.
