We are looking for a future leader in the role of Senior Vice President, Fund Accounting Executive to oversee our Fund / Client Accounting division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple Fund Accounting teams tasked with delivering comprehensive accounting services for a diverse range of clients, including net asset value determination, fund performance calculation, expense allocation, and report preparation.
- Manage financial and human resources within the unit, ensuring teams operate efficiently to achieve departmental objectives.
- Oversee processes and resource allocation for net asset value (NAV) calculations across various sectors during each measurement cycle.
- Build and maintain relationships with a wide array of clients, addressing any escalated issues related to fund accounting.
- Establish priorities for processes that ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial statement disclosures.
- Guide teams to maintain accounting records in line with departmental policies and standards.
- Resolve complex issues escalated by team members.
- Analyze GAAP and/or IFRS regulations to assess their impact on fund accounting practices.
- Formulate strategies and provide direction for implementing new policies in compliance with regulations.
- Set guidelines and priorities for drafting financial reports that reflect fund performance for client review.
- Communicate intricate accounting details and reports to clients.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop staff, enhancing their contributions and professional growth while fostering teamwork.
- Manage interactions with auditors and clients to amend financial reports, ensuring accurate representation of fund performance.
- Supervise multiple Fund/Client Accounting teams.
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- 5-7 years of overall work experience, with a preference for 1-3 years in a management role.
- Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred.
