Job Overview

As an Inventory Control Associate at 21 AIR LLC, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our inventory system. Your primary responsibilities will include:

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Maintenance: Ensure a consistent supply of stock by ordering new items within pre-approved limits as inventory levels decrease.
  • Vendor Relations: Build and sustain positive relationships with suppliers to secure backup sources for high-demand products.
  • Inventory Analysis: Review inventory reports and order trends to identify items that require automatic reordering.
  • Reporting: Generate and provide detailed inventory reports to the purchasing and inventory control manager.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain precise daily logs of incoming goods and outgoing shipments.
  • System Management: Oversee and enhance the inventory management system, facilitating necessary upgrades to software or databases under the guidance of management.
  • Audits: Conduct regular spot checks and partial audits of physical inventory to ensure accuracy.
  • Physical Inventory Support: Assist in the annual physical inventory audits.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate a forklift as needed.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with warehouse personnel, purchasing teams, and external vendors.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory management practices.
  • Proficient in keyboarding and data entry.
  • Highly organized with the ability to work independently.
  • Capable of fostering professional relationships with suppliers.
  • Basic mathematical skills for inventory calculations.
Education and Experience:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience with computerized inventory systems is essential.
  • Forklift operator certification is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Capability to navigate the warehouse and reach items at various heights.
