Consumer Goods Product Manager

The role of Product Innovation Specialist at Galerie presents an exciting chance to engage in the dynamic realm of product development. This position entails close collaboration with the Marketing and Sales teams to ensure that new offerings resonate with Galerie's strategic vision for everyday products, leveraging data and insights to inform product strategies.
- Market Insight & Leadership – Actively seek out and analyze significant consumer trends and market dynamics to position Galerie as a leader in product and consumer packaged goods innovation. Utilize these insights to identify opportunities for new product initiatives, market expansions, and licensing strategies. Enhance business capabilities by understanding current market conditions, historical practices, and competitor offerings. Formulate and implement strategies to deliver consistent products and packaged goods that cater to the everyday candy and snack markets.
- Product Development & Launch Management – Manage the end-to-end product launch process, encompassing concept ideation, market positioning, product formulation, packaging design, pricing strategies, distribution logistics, and comprehensive market planning. This role necessitates effective coordination across various departments within Galerie and collaboration with international manufacturing partners to guarantee quality and uniformity in each product introduction.
- Collaboration & Communication – Foster and maintain robust relationships with diverse departments within Galerie, as well as with domestic and international suppliers, vendors, and global team members. Cultivate partnerships with both existing and new suppliers and manufacturers to negotiate pricing, ensure product timelines are met, and adhere to seasonal deadlines.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of pertinent experience in Product Development, Merchandising, Procurement, or Operations.
- Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods is essential, with a solid foundation in traditional CPG sectors, particularly in candy, baked goods, ceramics, tins, plastics, and other packaging tailored for gifting products.
- A proven ability to utilize data for driving product decisions, optimizing offerings, and assessing performance metrics.
- Expertise in crafting and executing strategic product plans that align with corporate objectives. Familiarity with market research analysis, competitive assessments, and identifying growth avenues is advantageous. Demonstrated capability to convert insights into actionable product development strategies to enhance performance and market presence.
- Proficient in Excel; familiarity with Visual Manufacturing, Access, Crystal Reports, Workamajig, or similar reporting tools is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Exhibit a high energy level in a collaborative work environment.
