Join Our Team as Fundraising Strategist

We're looking for an ambitious Fundraising Strategist to drive revenue growth and expand our Partner community. As a key member of our development team, you'll collaborate with senior staff to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for Partner engagement and revenue growth.

With your expertise in fundraising and donor relations, you'll work closely with our Partners to deliver exceptional service and personalized attention. A strong focus on data analysis and reporting will help us make informed decisions and optimize our fundraising strategies.

A competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, reflects the importance of this role in achieving our mission-driven goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for Partner engagement and revenue growth.
  • Actively engage with new and existing Partners to expand Cato's Partner community and boost annual contributions.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations related to development efforts, including managing inbound correspondence and responding to Partner inquiries.
  • Own specific reporting and analytical tasks to monitor and enhance fundraising strategies.
  • Execute high-volume outreach to grow Partners' relationships with Cato and identify opportunities for increased engagement.
  • Contribute to planned giving initiatives and discussions, identifying potential opportunities for long-term funding strategies and Partner legacy planning.
  • Design personalized moves management plans for partners contributing less than $25,000.
  • Partner with Development research colleagues to prioritize and execute projects and tasks.
  • Develop proposals and reports as needed.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or development, preferably in a mission-driven or non-profit organization.
  • Experience managing a team of at least 2 direct reports is a plus.
  • Proficiency in donor database management and fundraising software.
  • Experience in operations management, data analysis, reporting, and proposal development.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite; CRM proficiency is a plus.
  • Knowledge of 'moves management' fundraising style is preferred but not required.
