Job Title: Chief Fundraising Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking an exceptional Chief Fundraising Officer to lead our development team and drive revenue growth at Calvary Women's Services Inc. This is a full-time hybrid position, working in our offices a minimum of two days per week.

Calvary Women's Services offers housing, health, education, and employment programs that empower homeless women in Washington, DC, to transform their lives. Our mission is to provide comprehensive support services, ensuring these women have the resources they need to achieve stability and independence.

Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Responsibilities
  • Donor Stewardship: Develop strategies for expanding our donor base, with a focus on building relationships with high-net-worth individuals. Develop and maintain a portfolio of donors and prospects, and solicit and secure support from individuals and corporations.
  • Special Events: Develop concepts for, lead the design of, and execute special events, including the annual Hope Gala. Oversee planning and execution of fundraising events, including gala, silent auction, fundraising walk, and community engagement activities.
  • Data Management: Supervise all data management, ensuring the Development Associate maintains the database and data entry for financial, in-kind, and volunteer contributions. Contribute to monthly team reports, prepare the monthly fundraising download for the accounting team, and assist other staff with fundraising reports.
  • Supervision and Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage the Development Manager and Development Associate, ensuring alignment with fundraising goals and professional development.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fundraising, development, or related fields.
  • Experience managing a fundraising team through effective goal setting, prioritization, delegation, and team-building.
  • Effective leadership capabilities; able to mentor and coach team in area of responsibility and the achievement of fundraising goals.
  • Proven ability to create and implement successful fundraising strategies.
  • Strong relationship-building and communications skills.
  • Strong leadership and management experience.
  • Supervisory Experience with donor management software (CRM systems).
  • Knowledge of financial planning and budget management.
  • Have a team-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently without direct supervision.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.

This role requires own transportation for trips out of the office.
