As the Marketing Coordinator for the Masonic Homes of California, you will be responsible for promoting various sectors, including wellness and healthcare services, fraternity membership, live events, and subscriptions to our esteemed California Freemason magazine. This role also provides a unique insight into the intriguing world of Freemasonry.

In this role, you will collaborate with dedicated staff, residents, and members who are passionate about leadership and community impact. The Masonic Homes of California is a nonprofit organization with over 38,000 members and 330 lodges statewide, committed to leadership, philanthropy, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with clients and management to identify marketing needs and objectives.
  • Design and implement marketing strategies across various channels.
  • Draft marketing briefs that convey stakeholder goals and key messages for our creative team.
  • Execute digital marketing initiatives, including social media, display advertising, and search engine marketing.
  • Oversee SEO efforts on key platforms.
  • Regularly assess results and report on progress towards marketing objectives.

Essential Functions

  • Manage and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns, including digital, direct mail, and in-person outreach.
  • Analyze and report on marketing performance in collaboration with the creative team and stakeholders.
  • Provide collaborative marketing guidance across all organizational entities.
  • Manage resources effectively to meet communication goals, including budget oversight and vendor management.
  • Lead marketing strategy meetings with team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Proven ability to develop and gain consensus on tactical marketing plans across multiple channels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in creating successful online and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading capabilities.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana and Base Camp.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in planning and executing marketing campaigns for nonprofit organizations, member associations, or communications agencies.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or Marketing.

Experience with:

  • Project management tools like Asana or Base Camp.
  • CRM systems such as SalesForce and MatrixCare.
  • Digital marketing platforms, including Google AdWords and social media advertising.
  • Digital asset management systems and collaboration tools like TEAMS and BrandFolder.
