Position Overview: The Director of Facility Operations for SDFC's Right to Dream Academy and Training Facility will be responsible for overseeing all operational aspects of the campus. This role is crucial in ensuring a secure, clean, and well-maintained environment for athletes, students, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, strategic foresight, and effective management of diverse vendors, including security, groundskeeping, food services, janitorial, and maintenance operations. A strong background in facilities management and vendor relations, coupled with a commitment to fostering an elite training environment, is essential. Candidates must be prepared to undergo background checks and work within a residential youth setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Direct and manage all campus operations, maintaining high service standards and operational efficiency.
- Vendor Coordination: Supervise and liaise with external service providers, including security, groundskeeping, food services, and maintenance.
- Financial Oversight: Create and manage the operational budget, ensuring financial accountability and cost-effective practices.
- Contract Management: Negotiate and oversee contracts, ensuring effective use of resources.
- Facility Upkeep: Ensure the proper maintenance of all campus facilities, including sports fields and common areas, while directing energy conservation initiatives.
- Safety Protocols: Develop and enforce safety and security measures to safeguard all campus stakeholders.
- Policy Formulation: Create and implement policies regarding facilities and maintenance services.
- Team Supervision: Lead campus operations staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Facilitate communication between maintenance and custodial services and campus departments.
- Documentation Management: Oversee record-keeping for campus facilities, including inventory management.
- Event Management: Plan and execute campus events, ensuring smooth operations and excellent guest experiences.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations and industry standards.
- Strategic Development: Formulate and implement strategic plans to enhance campus operations in alignment with the academy's mission.
- Crisis Management: Provide effective responses to emergencies or crises related to campus facilities.
- Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding campus operations.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, candidates should possess a combination of education, experience, and skills:
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: At least 7 years in facilities management or operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity.
