Position Title: Guest Service Agent/Night Auditor - Part-time

Job Overview:

The esteemed Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton is on the lookout for a committed Part-Time Guest Service Agent/Night Auditor. The core responsibility of this role is to warmly welcome and assist guests in a professional and courteous manner. Responsibilities include registering guests, delivering prompt service throughout their stay, resolving any issues, and ensuring a pleasant farewell upon check-out.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Service Agent Duties:

  1. Welcome guests with a friendly demeanor and maintain eye contact.
  2. Utilize effective communication skills to address guest requests and provide appropriate responses.
  3. Implement operational strategies to maximize occupancy and achieve optimal average rates.
  4. Maintain accurate information about hotel amenities and promote them effectively.
  5. Adhere to accounting protocols while managing cash transactions.
  6. Facilitate clear communication within the Front Office and across departments.
  7. Follow safety and security protocols, responding appropriately to emergencies.
  8. Manage front office technology and equipment proficiently.
  9. Complete the registration process efficiently, ensuring all guest information is accurate.
  10. Handle financial transactions with precision, including credit card verifications and cash handling.
  11. Provide safety deposit box services in accordance with hotel policies.
  12. Respond to phone inquiries with a positive tone and relay messages to guests promptly.
  13. Address guest complaints with urgency and document resolutions appropriately.

Night Auditor Duties:

  1. Assist guests sincerely and courteously, striving for complete satisfaction.
  2. Process guest registrations and departures efficiently.
  3. Verify and post daily charges to ensure guest accounts are accurate and balanced.
  4. Demonstrate knowledge of hotel services and local attractions to assist guests effectively.
  5. Complete necessary billing and reporting tasks for the day.
  6. Utilize sales techniques to promote the property and maximize occupancy.
  7. Manage reservations accurately, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  8. Act as the manager on duty when required.
  9. Uphold safety and security standards to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
  10. Keep supervisors informed of any significant issues or concerns.

Qualifications:

A college degree is preferred; however, a high school diploma combined with 2-3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
