Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in a professional and courteous manner, maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Register guests promptly and accurately, ensuring all necessary information is collected and processed efficiently.
  • Process payments, handle cash, and balance assigned cash bank, adhering to established accounting procedures.
  • Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization, using electronic acceptance methods.
  • Provide safety deposit boxes to guests, following established hotel procedures.
  • Answer telephones using a positive and pleasant tone of voice, following established verbiage.
  • Retrieve and send mail, small packages, and facsimiles for guests.
  • Listen to and promptly act to resolve guest problems and complaints, authorizing revenue allowances as necessary.
  • Assist with check-in, check-out, and room assignments, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Maintain accurate records, including guest registration cards, payment records, and other relevant documents.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred; High School Diploma and/or 2-3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in hotel software and systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
