Position Overview

The Cleaning Services Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in various facilities. This position involves utilizing a range of cleaning tools and agents, such as mops, brooms, vacuums, and disinfectants, to ensure that offices, restrooms, and communal areas are kept in pristine condition.

This role offers an hourly wage ranging from $10 to $12.

Part-time employees enjoy benefits such as a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions. Additionally, part-time, seasonal, and internship staff accrue paid leave at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours annually.

Responsibilities
  • Follow general instructions, specifications, and checklists to perform cleaning tasks.
  • Utilize various cleaning tools and agents effectively to maintain cleanliness in designated areas.
  • Dispose of waste and garbage in accordance with established procedures.
  • Conduct daily inspections of assigned areas to ensure cleanliness and order.
  • Maintain the exterior of the facility, including sweeping and trash collection.
  • Perform floor maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and waxing.
  • Clean walls, windows, stainless steel surfaces, countertops, and woodwork.
  • Ensure restrooms are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Remove stains and perform carpet cleaning and extraction.
  • Dust, polish, and arrange furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Operate hand tools or small powered equipment relevant to cleaning tasks.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Previous experience in customer service is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Availability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, typically four to six hours.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Comfortable with multitasking and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
