Position Title: Guest Service Agent/Night Auditor - Part-time

Overview:

The esteemed Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton is on the lookout for a committed Part-Time Guest Service Agent/Night Auditor. The core responsibility of this role is to warmly welcome and assist guests with professionalism and courtesy. Responsibilities include registering guests, providing attentive service throughout their stay, resolving any issues, finalizing guest accounts at checkout, and bidding guests a fond farewell.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Service Agent Duties:

  1. Welcome guests promptly with a friendly demeanor, maintaining eye contact and using a clear, positive voice.
  2. Utilize operational and sales techniques to optimize occupancy rates and achieve the best possible average rates.
  3. Ensure accurate information about hotel amenities is available and promote them effectively.
  4. Manage cash handling in accordance with accounting protocols.
  5. Facilitate effective communication within the Front Office and across all hotel departments.
  6. Adhere to safety and security protocols, responding appropriately to emergencies and correcting hazards.
  7. Understand and operate front office technology, including telephones and computer systems.
  8. Complete the registration process efficiently, confirming essential guest details and providing room keys.
  9. Handle various forms of payment and maintain accurate financial records.
  10. Provide safety deposit box services to guests as per hotel procedures.
  11. Respond to phone inquiries with a pleasant tone and ensure messages are accurately communicated to guests.
  12. Address guest complaints and issues promptly, documenting resolutions and informing management of any significant concerns.

Night Auditor Duties:

  1. Assist guests with sincerity and courtesy, striving to exceed their expectations.
  2. Ensure timely registration and processing of guests upon arrival and departure.
  3. Verify the accuracy of daily charges to guest accounts and ensure they are balanced by the designated time.
  4. Demonstrate knowledge of hotel services and local attractions to assist guests effectively.
  5. Complete necessary billing and reporting tasks for the day.
  6. Utilize sales techniques to promote the property and maximize occupancy.
  7. Handle reservations accurately, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  8. Act as the manager on duty when the General Manager is unavailable.
  9. Implement hotel safety and security measures to maintain a secure environment.
  10. Keep supervisors informed of any significant issues or unusual occurrences.

Qualifications:

A college degree is preferred; however, a high school diploma combined with 2-3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
