Position Overview:

This role will provide support to the Principal Program Manager's office, delivering technical and engineering insights to the Combat Systems Engineering and Integration team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Expertise in identifying, analyzing, and resolving intricate systems engineering challenges associated with the modernization and advancement of Navy weaponry and combat systems.
  • Understanding of DoD/DON policies and procedures, along with commercial hardware development and maintenance processes relevant to systems engineering, development, and system-level testing.
  • Participation in program management evaluations and preparation of inputs for status updates, briefings, and information requests.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, with a minimum of five years of experience in U.S. Navy Surface Ship Combat Systems Engineering; or ten years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proven experience in delivering product development solutions and system prototyping for key military acquisition platforms to enhance operational capabilities on surface combatant vessels.
  • Familiarity with Agile Development Processes concerning combat systems assessments, certifications, risk mitigation, interoperability, and testing analysis.
Security Clearance:
  • Must possess a current and active Secret Security clearance.
Travel Requirements:
  • Local travel may be required up to 10%.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
  • Occasional movement within the office to access files and equipment.
  • Frequent operation of computers and other office machinery.
  • Regular communication with colleagues, management, and clients, which may involve delivering presentations and exchanging information accurately.
  • May require moving audio/visual or computer equipment.
The anticipated compensation range for this position is $93,300-$155,200, influenced by various factors including relevant experience, skills, geographic location, and educational background. Additionally, ManTech offers a comprehensive benefits package, which may include health insurance, life insurance, paid time off, holiday pay, disability coverage, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional development.
