About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist II PRN to join our team at Research Medical Center. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the Radiologist, you will complete sonography procedures, including routine sonograms and interventional sonograms, such as biopsies.
  • Participate in Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement activities to ensure the highest level of patient care.
  • Work within established policies and procedures, adhering to safety and infection control guidelines, and comply with JCAHO, State, or other regulatory or accreditation agencies' requirements.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology and/or School of Sonography, with a minimum of two years of experience in medical sonography, including biopsies.
  • Current registration/licensure/certification in good standing with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), with registration in vascular and a minimum of two of the following areas: OB/Gyn, Abdomen, or Breast.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to accurately complete sonography examinations as ordered by referring physicians, with experience in radiology information systems to obtain previous examination reports.
  • Ability to correctly and safely operate sonographic equipment and perform invasive procedures following orientation period to the department.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
