CT Technologist PRN Job Description

At AdventHealth, we're committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the field of radiology. As a CT Technologist PRN, you'll play a vital role in our team, working closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality imaging services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform CAT Scan procedures with precision and accuracy, ensuring high-quality images for radiological diagnosis.
  • Rotate on-call status to ensure 24/7 coverage and provide timely assistance to patients and staff.
  • Review patient requisitions and charts before starting exams, ensuring accurate and efficient care.
  • Administer contrast material and start IVs as directed by radiologists, maintaining patient safety and comfort.
  • Communicate effectively with nurses and physicians to expedite patient care and resolve any issues.
  • Locate patient orders, lab work, and allergies in Power Chart, ensuring accurate and timely care.
  • Send images to VRC and scan VRC reports into PACS, maintaining efficient workflow and data management.
  • Participate in the training of new CT techs, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance team performance.
  • Operate Cerner System proficiently, troubleshooting problems and making corrections as needed.
  • Complete and charge exams correctly on Cerner System, ensuring accurate billing and revenue management.
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Assume responsibility for assigned area, reporting equipment malfunctions and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree or Graduate of a Technical School
  • Kansas State License LRT
  • Nationally Registered ARRT
  • ARRT Registered CT Technologist
  • AHA Healthcare Provider CPR
