We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ultrasound Technologist Lead to join our team at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our ultrasound services, providing exceptional patient care, and collaborating with our medical team to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the breast center, including scheduling, staffing, and supply management.
- Ensure that all mammographers maintain accurate QA records, tests, and audits.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other radiology personnel to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide input for annual staff performance evaluations, department meetings, and huddles.
- Assist with the coordination of orientation and training for new breast center employees.
- Manage checklists for annual competency for all breast center staff.
- Work with radiologists and physicians to resolve patient issues, improve patient satisfaction, and follow up as needed.
- Minimum of two years of work-related experience in a related field with some leadership experience.
- Graduate of an accredited program by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), American Medical Association (AMA), or other accrediting agencies.
- Certification in good standing with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) and/or Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RDMS).
- Knowledge of radiology operations, including hospital and outpatient settings.
- Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and flexibility.
Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson County's only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Women's & Children's healthcare services, offering the region's only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies.
