About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Oak View Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the stewarding operation and supervising a team of kitchen staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate all line set-up, prep, and breakdown activities, ensuring seamless execution of events.
  • Manage Buffet and Beverage Operations, including set-up and breakdown of equipment, and ensuring high-quality food presentation.
  • Assist with Kitchen Administration, including food inventories, ordering, and record-keeping.
  • Prepare and Cook ingredients according to recipes, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Kitchen Environment, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
  • Train and Mentor kitchen staff, promoting a positive and cooperative work environment.
  • Monitor and Control food production, ensuring quality, consistency, and concept are maintained.
  • Communicate Effectively with supervisors, peers, and subordinates, making decisions and solving problems as needed.
Requirements
  • Technical Proficiency in food preparation methods and kitchen operations.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills, with the ability to interact with diverse personalities.
  • Leadership and Coaching Skills, with the ability to develop and motivate staff.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability, with the ability to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Minimum 3 Years of experience in a similar role, with prior supervisory experience.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent, with a good understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Serve Safe Certification and knowledge of computer software, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
