About the Role

The University of Nebraska is seeking a highly skilled Proposal Development professional to join our team. As a Proposal Development Specialist, Coordinator, or Senior Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the development of grant proposals that drive research and innovation at our institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Edit and refine grant proposals to ensure clarity, coherence, and competitiveness
  • Provide editorial support to faculty and staff in developing grant proposals
  • Manage the development of large-scale, collaborative proposals
  • Coach faculty on best practices for proposal writing and preparation
  • Prepare faculty to network with program officers and stakeholders
Requirements
  • Proposal Development Specialist: Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a relevant scientific discipline
  • Proposal Development Coordinator: Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a relevant scientific discipline plus three years of experience writing and/or editing grant proposals
  • Senior Proposal Development Coordinator: Master's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a relevant scientific discipline plus five years of experience writing and/or editing grant proposals
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proposal Development Specialist: Experience writing and/or editing grant proposals in the public or private sector
  • Proposal Development Coordinator: Master's degree and professional experience in a university setting
  • Senior Proposal Development Coordinator: Professional experience in a university setting
