Grants Coordinator I:

In this entry-level role, you will provide essential institutional oversight for the submission of external funding proposals. Your responsibilities will include verifying compliance with various guidelines and offering specialized assistance to faculty and staff in understanding, acquiring, and finalizing external proposals. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate proposal submissions and assist in budget development. Additionally, you will support post-proposal submission activities and manage non-financial post-award transactions, including sponsor requests and Just-In-Time documentation.


Grants Coordinator II:

This mid-level position involves providing institutional oversight for external funding proposals, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines. You will offer specialized guidance to faculty and staff, and also oversee and train department-level professional and support staff involved in grant activities. Collaboration with faculty from various disciplines will be essential for coordinating proposal submissions and budget development. You will also support post-proposal submission activities and manage non-financial post-award transactions.


Grants Coordinator III:

In this advanced role, you will provide comprehensive oversight for the submission of external funding proposals, ensuring compliance with all applicable guidelines. You will offer specialized guidance and mentorship to faculty and staff, as well as oversee training for department-level professionals involved in grant activities. Your collaboration with interdisciplinary teams will be critical for coordinating proposal submissions and budget development. Additionally, you will support post-proposal submission activities and manage non-financial post-award transactions.

  • Grants Coordinator III: Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of pre-award research administration experience at a university or public institution; equivalent education/experience considered.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Grants Coordinator I: Basic knowledge of grant proposals, budgets, and sponsor guidelines.
  • Grants Coordinator II: Experience in grant proposal review and submission within a university setting.
  • Grants Coordinator III: Master's degree and extensive experience in pre-award research administration tasks.
