Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

Funding Proposal Coordinator I: Responsible for the institutional management of external funding proposals, confirming compliance with various guidelines. Offer specialized support to faculty and staff in understanding, obtaining, and finalizing funding proposals. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate proposal submissions and budget preparation. Assist with post-submission processes and non-financial post-award tasks, including sponsor inquiries and documentation requirements.

Funding Proposal Coordinator II: In addition to the responsibilities of Coordinator I, this role includes oversight and training for departmental staff involved in grant activities. Ensure compliance and provide guidance throughout the proposal process, while supporting the development of budgets and submissions.

Funding Proposal Coordinator III: This advanced role encompasses all duties of the previous levels, with added responsibilities for mentoring and training other staff members. Maintain oversight of grant activities and provide expert guidance to faculty and staff across various disciplines.

Minimum Qualifications:

Funding Proposal Coordinator I: Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one year of experience in grant proposal review and submission. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.

Funding Proposal Coordinator II: Bachelor’s degree with two years of relevant experience. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and build strong relationships with clients.

Funding Proposal Coordinator III: Bachelor’s degree with three years of experience in pre-award research administration. Knowledge of relevant electronic proposal submission systems is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Funding Proposal Coordinator I: Basic understanding of grant proposals and budgets within a university context.

Funding Proposal Coordinator II: Experience in grant proposal processes within a university setting.

Funding Proposal Coordinator III: Master’s degree with extensive experience in pre-award administration and knowledge of electronic submission systems.
