Role Objective:

The Senior Salesforce Engineer is instrumental in the development, testing, and implementation of Salesforce solutions. This position collaborates closely with product stakeholders and fellow developers to ensure a premium user experience that aligns with business requirements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Architects, develops, tests, and implements Salesforce solutions, including the creation of Visualforce pages.
  • Documents the application development lifecycle and integration processes, including third-party systems utilized alongside Salesforce.
  • Manages enterprise initiatives, third-party applications, and custom software integrations to create robust, scalable business applications using various technologies such as Salesforce Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, and APIs.
  • Completes user stories and configures solutions to fulfill user requirements while adhering to best practices in collaboration with business units.
  • Provides expert guidance on enterprise application development and deployment methodologies, including source code management and unit testing.
  • Analyzes and transforms data to develop reporting solutions that cater to business needs.
  • Addresses and documents complex technical issues encountered by end users.
  • Ensures follow-up on unresolved issues until they are either resolved or escalated appropriately.
  • Stays updated on technology trends and vendor product developments to align with customer needs and maximize functionality.
  • Mentors and trains junior Salesforce Developers on internal processes and best practices.
  • Participates in Scrum teams to develop and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Engages in Agile Scrum activities, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • May utilize Salesforce Marketing Cloud for customer journey mapping and marketing automation.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Education:

  • Salesforce Developer Certification

Field of Study:

  • Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.

Experience and Skills:

  • At least 4 years of experience in developing complex applications on the Salesforce Platform, ideally within the financial services sector.
  • Proficient in relational database management systems such as MySQL, SQL Server, or Oracle.
  • Experience with object-oriented programming and design patterns to ensure system scalability.
  • Familiarity with web services, including RESTful and SOAP protocols.
  • Extensive experience as a Salesforce administrator across various components.
  • Strong background in Salesforce development using tools like Visualforce and Apex.
  • Proficient in the Salesforce Dot Com (SFDC) development environment and related technologies.
  • Experience managing Sandboxes, including full sandbox configurations.
  • Ability to develop applications using diverse tools and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on customer service.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Compensation Overview:

The salary range for this position is competitive and reflects geographical labor market differences. The final salary will be influenced by the candidate's location, skills, education, and experience, as well as internal equity considerations.
