GENERAL SUMMARY & SCOPE


The Client Engagement Specialist plays a pivotal role in interacting with clients and promoting Ulta Beauty's service offerings through personalized engagements, both via phone and face-to-face.

This position embodies the essence of Ulta Beauty, representing our products and culture while supporting the Experience Manager (EM) and Assistant Services Manager (ASM) with a focus on performance, people, and processes.

We seek individuals with a passion for the beauty sector, exceptional client service skills, and the ability to effectively communicate salon services and product knowledge.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (*Essential Functions)

Performance


Assist in achieving or surpassing store objectives related to service and retail sales, client loyalty, and omni-channel sales as outlined by Ulta Beauty.


Deliver outstanding client service by acknowledging all guests in the Salon, Haircare, and Skincare sections, providing prompt and courteous assistance.

Manage sales, refunds, and exchanges with professionalism.


Support the services team by handling salon inquiries, addressing client concerns, managing appointment bookings, and suggesting additional services during client interactions.


Enhance the services business by informing clients of current promotions and events, confidently inviting them to experience our offerings while providing knowledgeable recommendations.

Encourage service providers in their daily appointment management and client acquisition efforts.


Book appointments and facilitate services and in-store events that ensure an exceptional client experience while meeting sales targets.


Stay informed about industry trends, products, and services to better assist clients.

Maintain regular and punctual attendance.


People


Foster an inclusive atmosphere that supports colleagues and clients alike.


Communicate and collaborate with the team to help stylists achieve their personal goals.


Build client relationships through effective communication and service recommendations.


Observe consultations to identify client needs and ensure a comprehensive service experience.


Work alongside managers, associates, and stylists to enhance the overall client experience.

Establish professional relationships with peers and brand partners to deliver exceptional service.


Promote the benefits of the client loyalty program and Ulta Beauty app during interactions.

Participate in mandatory training sessions for continuous professional growth.


Process


Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies and standards.


Adhere to the company's dress code.


Support the services team in maintaining safety and sanitation standards before, during, and after services.


Utilize scheduling tools to recommend adjustments that optimize results.

Communicate supply needs to ensure readiness for client service.


Contribute to maintaining high operational standards throughout the store.

Follow loss prevention practices while providing exceptional client service.


Perform other operational tasks as directed.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education

High school diploma preferred.

Experience

1 year of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.

Skills

Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale systems, Apple devices).

Demonstrated competency in sales and service.

Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Excellent communication skills.

Problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Continuous mobility throughout the store during shifts.

Frequent standing, bending, and lifting during shifts.

Regular use of computers and telephonic devices.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 / Hour. Exact pay will be based on factors including education, qualifications, experience, and organizational needs.

Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off and various benefits. Part-time positions may also qualify for certain benefits.
