Position Overview
Northeastern State University (NSU) is seeking applications for a 12-month, non-tenure track role as an Assistant Clinical Professor within the Physician Assistant Studies (PAS) program.

Key Responsibilities
The faculty member will play a vital role in:

  • Developing and refining the curriculum to align with accreditation standards set by ARC-PA.
  • Engaging in the admissions process and serving on the PAS Admissions Committee.
  • Contributing to the PAS Student Progress Committee and the PAS Operational Committee.
  • Maintaining effective communication with the program director and faculty/staff regarding assigned duties.
  • Participating in state and national organizations to enhance the visibility of the PA profession and the NSU PA Program.
  • Serving on various departmental, college, and university committees as needed.
  • Involvement in ARC-PA activities, including application preparation and site visits.
  • Teaching a designated course load and engaging in all educational activities to fulfill program requirements.
  • Acting as an academic advisor for PA students.
  • Participating in professional development initiatives.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related health field.
  • Current NCCPA certification and the ability to maintain it, along with a minimum of 1.5 years of clinical experience.
  • Experience in PA medical education, particularly in teaching and curriculum development, is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with basic computer proficiency.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively while upholding high professional standards.
  • A commitment to diversity and cultural sensitivity.
