Assistant Clinical Professor, Physician Assistant Education
Position Overview
Northeastern State University (NSU) is seeking applications for a 12-month, non-tenure track role as Assistant Clinical Professor within the Physician Assistant Studies (PAS) program.
The selected faculty member will play a crucial role in shaping the curriculum and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards set by ARC-PA. The PAS program operates on the NSU Muskogee campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to ARC-PA Standards concerning curriculum and educational outcomes.
- Engage in the admissions process and serve on the PAS Admissions Committee.
- Contribute to the PAS Student Progress Committee and the PAS Operational Committee.
- Maintain effective communication with the program director and fellow faculty/staff regarding responsibilities and assignments.
- Participate in state and national organizations to enhance the visibility of the PA profession and the NSU PA Program.
- Serve on various departmental, college, and university committees as needed.
- Engage in ARC-PA activities, including application preparation and site visit coordination.
- Deliver assigned courses and participate in all educational initiatives to fulfill program requirements.
- Act as an academic advisor for PA students.
- Engage in professional development activities to ensure ongoing growth and relevance in the academic field.
- Contribute to scholarly activities as expected of a faculty member.
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have experience in PA medical education with a strong background in teaching and curriculum development. However, exceptional candidates with limited teaching experience will also be considered.

- Basic proficiency in PC applications.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to high professional standards and fostering student engagement.
- Dedication to diversity and cultural sensitivity.
Applicants must hold a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies or a related health field, possess current NCCPA certification, and have at least 1.5 years of clinical experience. Eligibility for licensure in Oklahoma is required.

Compensation
The annual salary for this position is $104,340.00.
