Financial Operations Leader

The Finance Coordinator for the Shared Business Network is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the North/Central/Nassau Shared Business Network and managing finance contract services for various Associations and SBNs throughout the state.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain effective working relationships with SBN personnel, including Finance Staff and Executive Directors.
- Ensure the delivery of services as outlined in the SBN scope of services agreement and any related agreements.
- Exercise professional judgment and maintain confidentiality in managing financial operations.
- Provide interim support for local finance requirements during staff vacancies or other urgent situations.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in budget preparation, accounts receivable/payable management, expense/revenue tracking, cash flow analysis, reconciliation, compliance, and grants/contracts oversight.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications (Microsoft Excel), accounting software, and word processing (Microsoft Word).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to create, interpret, and maintain complex spreadsheets and databases.
Skills and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of financial operations and grant/proposal processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.
- Excellent organizational skills to initiate and implement established goals effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to travel moderately (approximately 25%) as required.
- Ability to communicate proficiently in English, both orally and in writing.
- Experience in providing training and developing training materials using diverse methods.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends when necessary.
