Job Summary

THRIVE Wellness and Recovery Inc is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Information Officer to lead our organization's IT strategy and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing all activities related to the implementation, maintenance, analysis, and integrity of our information technology operating systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation, and support of IT systems and programs, including enterprise architecture, applications, security, and risk management.
  • Develop a mastery of our IT systems to provide ongoing support for all THRIVE end users, in accordance with privacy laws, policies, and procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Aid in the ongoing security posture of the organization and all staff/stakeholders through ongoing awareness training and reinforcement of safe cyber habits.
  • Oversee IT system performance through system monitoring and analysis, working closely with internal staff and external contractors to ensure health information technology availability and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure that backup, recovery, and security procedures are set up and performed as planned and necessary.
  • Monitor the utilization of all networks to manage and mitigate risk.
  • Facilitate and formalize quality IT-related decision making amongst the Executive Leadership Team, IT Committee, and Board of Directors.
  • Assist with the allocation and leveraging of resources to enhance operational efficiencies and ensure financial viability and sustainability.
  • Keep supervisor and other relevant staff informed of significant problems that jeopardize the achievement of objectives, and those which are not being addressed adequately.
  • Consult with members of the Executive Leadership Team and other applicable team members regarding systems analysis, enhancements, and optimizations.
  • Act as the Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO) Administrator, managing training, user setup, monitoring/auditing, investigating issues/incidents within HealtheConnections, the region's RHIO.
  • Directly oversee any IT service support contractors and vendor relationships, including Managed Service Providers, Internet Service Providers, Telecom Service Providers, Electronic Health Record Vendors, and all IT-related software accounts.
  • Define and/or refine/update standard operating procedures, including configuration management, cyber security, disaster recovery, business continuity, IT-related acquisitions, and IT-related priorities.
  • Identify and refine necessary IT governance organizational chart (sustainability and succession planning for IT personnel).
  • Develop and maintain 1-year and 3-year IT budgets to support sustainable, secure operations and fiscal planning.
  • Develop and maintain a 1-year and 3-year IT roadmap to guide operations now and into the future.
  • Identify, define, and implement metrics and tool-based resources to monitor effectiveness and quality of IT systems.
  • Directly manage Office 365 environment, including Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, Forms, and License Management.
  • Utilize knowledge and skills of clinical and Executive Leadership collaborators to identify business and clinical needs to ensure HIT tools are suitable for standards of practice.
  • Directly supervise and support IT team members.
  • Aid the team with website management and configuration.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience required, with Minimum of 3 years in a technical/engineering role preferred; Minimum of 3 years in a technical leadership role preferred.
  • Previous experience managing an IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) relationship strongly preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities will be considered.
  • IT Certifications such as Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Professionals in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS), Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP), Information Technology Management and Leadership Professional (ITMLP), Comp TIA Security+, etc. are favorable.
