Merchandising Operations Supervisor

At Lowe's, every associate plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the store environment is clean, secure, and well-stocked with the necessary products. As a Merchandising Operations Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Professional Engagement: Cultivating positive relationships with vendors and team members to address store requirements.
- Merchandising Accuracy: Guaranteeing that all signage, pricing details, and product displays are precise, facilitating easy product location for customers.
- Team Development: Mentoring associates in creating visually appealing and accessible product presentations that prioritize safety and cleanliness.
The Merchandising Operations Supervisor oversees the execution of all merchandising services, projects, and maintenance activities within the store. Successful management of these responsibilities leads to a clean, safe, and inviting shopping experience for customers. This role includes supervising a team responsible for resetting, stocking, and accurately pricing merchandise. Additionally, the Supervisor collaborates with various store departments to ensure the Merchandising Service Team effectively supports the store's sales and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Organizing schedules for the Merchandising Service team and managing resources to enhance project execution aligned with the overall merchandising strategy.
- Guiding team members on project priorities, scheduling, and resource needs.
- Delivering training and mentorship to associates, fostering their professional growth.
- Evaluating team performance and implementing development plans based on individual strengths and areas for improvement.
- Addressing disciplinary matters in collaboration with HR.
- Managing project-related expenses and payroll.
- Identifying and resolving issues at the project or store level using available resources.
- Communicating project updates and feedback to store teams and corporate leaders.
- Sharing best practices to enhance efficiency and merchandising across the organization.
Customer Service Excellence
- Providing exceptional customer service through adherence to Lowe's policies and procedures.
- Proactively engaging with customers to understand their needs and assisting them in product selection and location.
- Responding promptly and knowledgeably to inquiries from customers and team members.
- Ensuring customers feel valued and appreciated during their shopping experience.
- Communicating relevant information about products, including stock availability and warranty details.
- Equipping team members with the necessary tools and resources to assist customers effectively.
Inventory Management
- Overseeing the stocking and organization of merchandise in accordance with planograms.
- Ensuring all signage and pricing information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Confirming that product displays and resets meet Lowe's specifications and safety standards.
- Collaborating with receiving departments to optimize the staging process for product resets.
- Leading efforts to manage buyback items and ensuring proper processing of damaged products.
Store Safety and Cleanliness
- Identifying potential security risks and communicating them to management.
- Maintaining compliance with cleanliness and organization standards throughout the store.
- Conducting safety reviews and ensuring a secure work environment.
- Adhering to safety protocols relevant to job duties.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years of customer service or retail experience in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a leadership role, even in an informal capacity.
Preferred:
- Supervisory experience, including coaching and performance evaluation.
- Experience in merchandising and understanding planograms.
- Familiarity with operating power equipment.

Pay Range: $23.80 per hour
