Customer Support Specialist Job Overview

The Customer Support Specialist plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional service to clients, team members, and visitors through comprehensive administrative assistance. This position involves the careful handling of sensitive information across various systems to aid clients during their interactions with Healthcare For the Homeless Inc. Reporting to a Practice Operations Manager, the primary duties encompass:

  • Welcoming clients and visitors, guiding them to the appropriate personnel
  • Assisting clients with the registration and intake procedures
  • Overseeing client discharge processes and scheduling appointments
  • Conducting telephone triage and managing requests for information release
  • Collaborating with clinic staff to ensure smooth operational flow

Beyond the specific responsibilities of the role, all employees are expected to uphold the agency's core values, engage in performance enhancement initiatives, and adhere to regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Customer Service
  • Experience working with individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds
  • Competence in utilizing computers and database systems
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
