About Marshall & Taylor PLLC

Marshall & Taylor PLLC is a rapidly-growing law practice seeking a full-time Legal Intake Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in surveying prospective clients, empathizing with them on the details of their case, managing new client onboarding and data entry, and helping our lawyers book and manage their appointments.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate awareness initiatives and foster relationships with other attorneys alongside the marketing team to help grow our prospective client base.
  • Screen incoming potential client phone calls to ensure the case falls within the scope of the firm, while helping the caller feel heard and understood.
  • Supervise new client onboarding and current client files through data entry and paperwork collection to ensure our cases are managed efficiently.
  • Book consultations for prospective clients with our lawyers to expand our caseload and ensure meeting schedules are accurate.
  • Perform miscellaneous clerical tasks as needed, including transcription, research, spreadsheet management, and email writing to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Manage your own schedule to balance availability for meeting with prospective new clients as well as following up with prospective new clients who said no and with current clients to conduct quality control calls and interviews.
  • Keep detailed notes in a centralized database.
  • Be a team player and cover for your fellow salespeople to help our firm help out prospective new clients find clarity around and relief from the situation that brought them to the firm in the first place.
  • Follow up with prospective new clients who said no.
  • Facilitate a professional introduction and transition to the legal team once the case or matter has begun.
  • Actively engage in dialogue with management regarding the quality and volume of the leads, offering constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement based on your front lines experience.
  • Periodically attend tradeshows and networking events as a professional representative of the firm.
  • Utilize a consultative selling approach when conducting sales calls to illustrate the value and benefits of our services.
  • Stay current with bar rules, legal industry trends, and information.

Qualifications:

  • Firm knowledge of spreadsheet and data management, as well as computer skills.
  • High school diploma or GED is a requirement; Bachelor's degree is a plus.
  • Familiarity with case management and CRM systems a bonus.
  • Previous customer service or sales experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to communicate eloquently and empathetically a must.
  • Previous legal experience a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel.

Compensation: $55,000+
