Amergis Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Audiologist to provide essential services to the Developmental and Mental Health population. The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at enhancing the quality of care for individuals in need of audiology and speech/language services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement audiology and speech/language services tailored to individual needs.
  2. Analyze departmental metrics and compile reports for management regarding hearing, speech, and language services.
  3. Assess service effectiveness and provide recommendations to management based on findings.
  4. Review and update departmental policies and procedures; oversee quality assurance measures.
  5. Conduct training sessions for facility staff to ensure high standards of service delivery.

Clinical Assessments:

  1. Perform comprehensive audiometric assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
  2. Carry out follow-up audiological evaluations and speech language screenings.
  3. Conduct evaluations for hearing aids and prepare detailed clinical reports documenting findings.

Patient Education:

  1. Facilitate hearing aid orientation classes or individual sessions for clients.
  2. Obtain ear mold impressions or custom ear molds as necessary.

Collaboration and Training:

  1. Participate as a member of facility committees to enhance service delivery.
  2. Develop and conduct training programs for both the center and community organizations on topics such as communication strategies, hearing aid maintenance, and the use of Telecommunication Devices for the Deaf.
  3. Engage in ongoing training and professional development activities.

Additional Duties:

Perform other related tasks as assigned that align with the responsibilities outlined above.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A master's degree in speech-language pathology or audiology is required.
  • A valid license to practice in the field from the appropriate regulatory body is necessary.
  • Possession of a current PRL with endorsement as a Speech-Language Pathologist is required.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience is essential.
  • Preferred candidates will demonstrate advanced clinical experience through certifications, continuing education units, or specialized coursework.
