Position Overview: Amergis Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Audiologist to provide exceptional services to the Developmental/Mental Health population. The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing the auditory and communicative abilities of individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Service Planning and Development: Design and implement audiology and speech/language services tailored to individual needs.
  2. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze departmental metrics and generate comprehensive reports for management regarding hearing, speech, and language services.
  3. Quality Assurance: Evaluate services and recommend improvements to administration based on findings; review and update departmental policies and procedures.
  4. Staff Training: Conduct training sessions for facility staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  5. Audiometric Assessments: Perform detailed audiometric assessments and diagnostic evaluations, including follow-up evaluations and speech language screenings.
  6. Hearing Aid Services: Conduct evaluations for hearing aids and prepare clinical documentation of test results.
  7. Orientation Classes: Facilitate hearing aid orientation sessions for individuals requiring assistance.
  8. Custom Ear Molds: Obtain impressions for ear molds or custom ear molds as needed.
  9. Committee Participation: Actively engage as a member of facility committees.
  10. Training Development: Create and deliver in-service and pre-service training programs for the center and community agencies on topics such as communication strategies, hearing aids maintenance, and the use of Telecommunication Devices for the Deaf.
  11. Continuous Learning: Attend and participate in ongoing training opportunities.
  12. Additional Duties: Perform other related responsibilities as assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the outlined duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology.
  • Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology or Audiology.
  • Valid, current Professional License with endorsement as a Speech-Language Pathologist issued by the appropriate authority.
  • Three years of relevant clinical experience.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated clinical experience in a specialized setting, supported by certification, continuing education units, or advanced coursework.
