About the Role

The Human Resources Coordinator provides critical support to the HR team at HMSHost, ensuring seamless execution of HR-related tasks and activities. This role is responsible for assisting with recruiting, onboarding, and maintaining employment records, as well as providing administrative support for HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment Support: Assist with posting job openings, attending career fairs, coordinating interviews, and generating offer letters for hourly associates.
  • Onboarding Process: Coordinate and assist with the new hire process, including ensuring new hires properly complete onboarding paperwork, submitting and processing paperwork with appropriate persons, creating new employee files, coordinating orientation, and supporting training efforts.
  • HR Documentation: Compile, file, and safeguard employment, benefit, pay change, informational, and other confidential documents and records in accordance with company policy.
  • Administrative Support: Provide administrative support for HR Specialists and HR Manager in solving HR problems, maintaining confidentiality, and performing general administrative functions, including generating reports, maintaining employee files, processing changes to employee records, and completing logs and checklists.
  • Associate Relations: Promote positive associate and labor relations by interacting with associates in a professional and pleasant manner to answer administrative questions related to pay, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma
  • Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
  • Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents
  • Basic keyboarding or other repetitive motions
