Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Receptionist to join our team at Datavant. As a key member of our healthcare data logistics team, you will be responsible for processing medical record requests, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HIPAA regulations, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and process medical record requests from patients, insurance companies, and attorneys
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of patient information
  • Work with multiple software systems and platforms to document and manage patient data
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless data flow and compliance
  • Provide exceptional customer service and respond to requests in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with data entry
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a high-volume production environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Comfortable working with minimal supervision and taking initiative to resolve issues
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a healthcare environment or related field
  • Previous production/metric-based work experience
  • In-person customer service experience and ability to build relationships with clients and customers
Working Conditions

This is an on-site role at a local hospital in Chattanooga, TN. The work environment is generally quiet and comfortable, with minimal exposure to unpleasant or hazardous conditions. The ideal candidate will be able to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach horizontally and vertically for overhead use, and lift up to 20 pounds.
