Job Summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the laboratory, performing blood collection and specimen processing, as well as assisting with clerical duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform blood collection and specimen processing, adhering to established procedures and protocols.
  • Assist with clerical duties, including data entry and record-keeping.
  • Maintain laboratory collection turnaround time, prioritizing work activities and organizing draw requests to ensure efficiency.
  • Perform Blood Bank collections, following written procedures and adhering to specimen requirements.
  • Maintain order and cleanliness of phlebotomy trays, stations, and storage rooms.
  • Assist with phlebotomy training under the direction of the supervisor and/or coordinator.
  • Specimen processing/intake and distribution to testing areas of the laboratory.
Requirements
  • High School diploma
