As a Program Management Lead at BDG, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of all engineering initiatives and services, focusing on critical aspects such as scope, budget, timeline, and quality. Your primary responsibility will be to synchronize cross-functional stakeholders on projects that align with broader organizational objectives. This encompasses oversight of the entire project lifecycle, from conception to execution, while managing multiple project statuses and teams concurrently.

You will also be significantly engaged in user acquisition strategies, necessitating a strategic and results-oriented mindset. Your role will involve coordinating with engineering, revenue operations, business intelligence, and editorial teams to effectively conduct A/B testing, analyze outcomes, and assess success metrics. This position resides within the engineering organization, requiring you to possess the technical acumen to comprehend software development and implementation sufficiently to communicate these concepts to other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, and oversee large-scale concurrent technical projects.
  • Establish robust cross-functional business relationships with senior and mid-level executives.
  • Exhibit a collaborative approach to work and influence others to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Comprehend essential business and technology drivers, preferably within the media and publishing sector.
  • Demonstrate the ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence in the absence of direct reporting lines.
  • Ensure projects meet or surpass organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies to guarantee the successful delivery of high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in program or project management.
  • Proven track record of working in a complex, matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, adept at navigating intricate technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Expertise in project and program management methodologies.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with digital media platforms, content management systems (CMS), and media distribution technologies is advantageous but not mandatory.

Compensation for this role ranges from $180,000 to $190,000 annually.
