About Us: CAMBA is a collective of dedicated individuals, including staff, volunteers, clients, donors, and partners, committed to fostering an inclusive New York City. Our mission is to ensure that all individuals, particularly children and families, have access to essential resources and support systems necessary for their success. We provide over 180 integrated programs across various sectors such as Education, Family Support, Employment Services, Health, Housing, and Legal Assistance, reaching more than 73,000 individuals and families, including nearly 13,000 youth. Our clientele reflects a diverse demographic, with a significant portion being immigrants and refugees, and over 85% of families living in poverty, highlighting the pressing challenges faced by many New Yorkers.

Our Commitment: Since 1991, CAMBA has been actively addressing the housing crisis in the city. Our portfolio encompasses permanent affordable and supportive housing, homelessness prevention, and transitional housing solutions. In response to the urgent need for stable and affordable housing, we established CAMBA Housing Ventures, Inc. (CHV) in 2005. CHV aims to cultivate vibrant communities where affordable housing is pivotal to the success of low-income families. Our mission is to redefine affordable and supportive housing by developing sustainable, high-quality, and energy-efficient properties that offer residents a healthy and stable living environment.

Position Overview: The Senior Program Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing the planning and execution of new and rehabilitated multi-family affordable housing projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating pre-development planning processes, including acquisition, financing, and design development.
  • Leading community engagement initiatives to secure necessary project approvals.
  • Managing project teams, including architects and consultants, during the design and site investigation phases.
  • Facilitating the transition from construction to operational phases, ensuring successful lease-up and stabilization.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with all stakeholders involved in project development.
  • Preparing funding applications and grant proposals to support capacity building.
  • Overseeing the creation of marketing and informational materials for housing projects, ensuring accuracy and consistency in public communications.
  • Providing recommendations on organizational policies and procedures to senior management.
  • Implementing quality assurance measures to enhance service delivery.
  • Compiling and submitting reports and statistical data for management and funding purposes.
  • Analyzing program data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Representing CHV at various meetings and reporting significant events to senior management.
  • Adapting tasks as necessary to meet evolving project needs.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and five to seven years of experience in multifamily real estate development, particularly in affordable housing.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a lead project manager with successful finance closings and project completions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of real estate development, including financing, design, and construction processes.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal housing development programs and market conditions.
  • Self-motivated with a strong track record of effective task management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in relevant software applications.

Compensation: The salary range for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Status: This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
