The Clinical Services Supervisor is a licensed professional responsible for providing specialized knowledge in mental health and human development services. This role serves as the clinical lead and supervisor for the department that supports students across various educational and campus life programs. Key responsibilities include evaluating treatment progress, conducting assessments, and offering consultation and counseling services. The coordinator will also design and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the clinical team in a collaborative approach to ensure the holistic needs of students are met by working closely with educational staff, administration, families, and external partners.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of students' social and emotional needs, developing personalized goals and treatment plans based on these evaluations.
  • Utilize diverse, student-centered treatment modalities that are strength-based and empathetic to effectively address individual student requirements.
  • Provide supervision and guidance for individual and group counseling sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Design and oversee new programs and alternative support systems for students, ensuring their comprehensive development.
  • Manage the scheduling of clinical staff and ensure that all clinical documentation is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other clinicians and educational staff to ensure a cohesive approach to each student's progress, considering their developmental, emotional, and social needs.
  • Support students in community and workplace settings to foster successful integration and future opportunities.
  • Maintain proactive communication with students and their families to address any challenges and monitor progress effectively.
  • Supervise the maintenance of all necessary records, evaluations, and reports.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in activities that enhance field knowledge.
  • Assist with various programs and events within the organization, expanding the scope of responsibilities.
  • Stay informed on clinical best practices to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Participate in community education regarding clinical matters and life skills independence.
  • Fulfill on-call responsibilities as a key member of the mental health leadership team, which may include weekend and overnight coverage.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid New York State License in good standing.
  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, BCBA, or a related field is required; a Doctorate in a relevant discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience is essential.
  • Experience working with students with developmental disabilities or on the autism spectrum is highly desirable; prior school experience is advantageous.

Competencies:

  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, and staff.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess complex situations and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment, demonstrating cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of learning new software systems.

Supervisory and Budget Responsibilities:

This position includes supervisory responsibilities as the enrollment and staff grow. Budget management responsibilities are also part of this role.

Work Environment:

The role requires participation in various campus activities, both indoors and outdoors, and may involve navigating a multi-story building and campus grounds.

Physical Demands:

The position involves managing multiple demands and deadlines, requiring sustained concentration and the ability to move between floors and buildings as necessary.

Position Type:

This is a full-time position with a standard 40-hour work week, though additional hours may be required based on job demands.

Additional Requirements:

A valid driver's license is preferred.
