The Licensed Clinical Coordinator is a vital role that provides specialized knowledge in mental health and human development services. This position serves as the clinical lead and supervisor within the clinical department, focusing on students involved in various educational and campus life programs. Responsibilities include evaluating treatment progress, conducting assessments, and developing tailored treatment plans that address the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and collaborate with the clinical team, educational staff, and families to ensure comprehensive support for students.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of students' social and emotional needs, creating individualized treatment goals.
  • Implement a variety of student-centered therapeutic approaches to effectively address diverse needs.
  • Supervise and provide counseling services to individuals and groups, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Design and oversee new programs and systems to enhance student support.
  • Manage the scheduling of clinical staff and ensure accurate documentation of clinical sessions.
  • Work closely with other professionals to ensure an integrated approach to student progress.
  • Support students in community and workplace settings to foster social integration and future success.
  • Maintain proactive communication with students and families regarding progress and challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with record-keeping and reporting requirements.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to the advancement of clinical practices.
  • Participate in additional programs and services as needed.
  • Stay informed on current clinical practices to provide top-tier support.
  • Contribute to community education on clinical matters and life skills.
  • Be available for on-call responsibilities, including weekend and overnight coverage.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid New York State License in a relevant field.
  • A Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related discipline is required; a Doctorate is preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience is essential.
  • Experience with students with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders is highly desirable.

  • Computer proficiency, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and database management systems.

Work Environment:

This position requires engagement across various campus settings, both indoors and outdoors, and may involve physical demands such as walking between buildings and navigating a multi-level campus.
