Position Overview:

As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Luvata Waterbury Inc, you will engage in essential quality activities associated with the production of superconductive wire. This role encompasses oversight of both external and internal processes, including subcontracted operations and addressing customer application concerns. Occasional travel may be required for supplier and customer engagements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct process measurements and thorough analysis.
  • Implement process enhancements and revise work instructions as necessary.
  • Perform internal audits in accordance with ISO-9001 and ISO-14001 standards.
  • Facilitate Statistical Process Control (SPC) implementations.
  • Manage non-conformance issues effectively.
  • Conduct supplier surveys and audits to ensure compliance.
  • Administer customer complaints and corrective action systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Management System.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the metals processing industry is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ISO standards and methodologies.
  • Experience and training in Lean principles, SPC, Six Sigma, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
